Understanding of Vairagya and Vivekakhyati

In a world filled with constant stimulation, confusion, and emotional turbulence, the real question is not what we know—but how clearly we see. This self-paced course invites you into a deeper inquiry of two foundational pillars of yogic wisdom: Vairagya (detachment) and Vivekakhyati (enlightened discrimination). These are not philosophical abstractions, but practical tools to navigate life with clarity, steadiness, and inner freedom.#Free yoga courses #Mental health courses #Emotional intelligence courses #yoga programs #Yoga for Senior Citizens

Program Overview

Vairagya is not about withdrawing from life or abandoning relationships and ambitions. Instead, it is about engaging with life fully—without dependency, fear, or inner disturbance. When rightly understood, it becomes a source of strength, not sacrifice.

Vivekakhyati, on the other hand, goes beyond everyday judgment. It is the refined ability to discern between the real and the unreal, the self and the non-self—leading to the dissolution of confusion (avidya) and ultimately, freedom from suffering.

Drawing from timeless yogic teachings, including the Yoga Sutras, this course explores how:

  • Practice (Abhyasa) and detachment (Vairagya) together lead to mastery over the mind
  • Continuous clarity (Vivekakhyati) becomes the means to transcend suffering
  • Viveka and Vairagya support and strengthen each other in a cycle of inner evolution

What This Course Offers?

  • A clear and practical understanding of Vairagya—free from common misconceptions
  • Insight into Vivekakhyati as a lived experience, not just a concept
  • Tools to apply these teachings in daily life, relationships, and decision-making
  • A shift from intellectual understanding to experiential clarity
